Kids’ bedrooms are a place for play, imagination, and (hopefully) plenty of rest for the fun days ahead. Whether you’re transitioning from a nursery to a big-kid room or your kiddo is starting to show interest in creating their own space, a few thoughtful upgrades can help you make the space of their dreams.

Get Colorful
It's no secret that kids love bright colors, which is why kids’ TV shows, books, and clothing are so vibrant. Contrasting colors are also developmentally important for babies, helping to encourage brain development, brain growth, and visual development. It only makes sense that their rooms should also boast colorful hues.
If you want something semi-permanent, removable wallpaper lets you have fun with patterns and prints while providing peace of mind that you can swap out these styles as their interests change. You can also brighten things up with an accent wall. Consider bold paint colors, wall decals, or even a mural that represents their interest. For more minor touches with a significant impact, themed décor like dinosaur toys, outer space trinkets, or princess bedding can bring their interests to life.
Consider Practical and Safe Storage
If your kids’ bedroom has plenty of space, consider adding baskets and bins where your little ones can place their stuffed animals, books, and tiny toys, which seem to find the soles of your feet like magnets.
